We’ve been making some serious progress behind the scenes on Voxly, and this update brings us one step closer to a fully functional creator ecosystem.
Engine & World Improvements
The core engine continues to evolve with major upgrades to how worlds are created and rendered:
- New primitive shapes added (Block, Wedge, Cylinder, Cone, Sphere)
- Full rotation support for parts (no longer limited to basic placement)
- Improved world saving/loading system with stable snapshots
- Better handling of large worlds and scene data
Studio Enhancements
Studio is becoming more powerful and closer to a full creator tool:
- Improved viewport rendering and performance
- More accurate lighting and time-of-day system
- Expanded Properties panel with rotation and shape editing
- Cleaner UI layout for a better building experience
- New Script Editor with validation and autocomplete
Platform & Publishing
We’ve also improved how Studio connects to the website:
- Full account login integration
- Ability to create, open, and manage worlds from your account
- Improved publishing pipeline with better feedback and error handling
- Worlds now default to public visibility when published
Performance & RenderingUnder the hood, performance has been a major focus:
- DirectX 11 rendering improvements
- Better camera behavior and smoothing
- Optimized render pipeline with spatial grid + culling
- Improved lighting and shadow handling
