Avatars, Items, and Expression

Understand how avatars, outfits, catalog items, and creator-made cosmetics fit into worlds.

Avatars travel with players

Every Voxly user is represented by an avatar. Avatars are part of player identity and should show up consistently across worlds, profiles, forums, and the creator marketplace.

Starter body parts are the base avatar. Cosmetics and accessories add expression without replacing the player body.

Creator items

  • Catalog items should be clear, wearable, and appropriate for Voxly.
  • Accessories should attach to the avatar instead of replacing base body parts.
  • Scarce drops can have limited quantity, limited time, or both.
  • Items should use original work or assets you have the right to use.

World design tip

Worlds should leave room for expressive avatars. Avoid spaces that only work for one exact avatar look, and use camera-friendly layouts so players can show off their style.
